Way to Remove Engineering specialization in Cata
My character is a Hunter in wow. I never play online game before. I began to play world of Warcraft several days ago. Since I saw my friend play the game, I was deeply attracted by its perfect image and plot. I work hard to make wow gold. I kill mobs, run distance, do requests, etc. All these make me level my character up fast. I have enough gold to buy stronger weapons and more powerful armors. I need not to worry about my wow power leveling.
I still see low level gnomish and goblin recipes still exist in the game, but it doesn't seem that there are any new specialized recipes in Cata. The last good ones were the arrow/ammo recipes from ICC in Wrath, but ammo has been removed from the game. Is Blizz slowly working towards removing eng. specialization, the way that blacksmith and tailor specializations have recently been removed?
In fact, there are two new pet schematics that require a specialization to learn. Now as for any "good" ones? You're absolutely right, there aren't any actual useful new wow items that require a specialization, yet. Remember the ammo was added fairly late into the WOTLK expansion, with the final raid instance before Cataclysm. So, we could still see some actual useful Gnomish/Goblin engineering items by next year.
I recall hearing that specialization-specific schematics would be removed come Cata, but that was quite a while ago, so I'm not sure if it was still planned. What adds to the confusion is, looking at WoW head, there are many items such as the "Goblin" barbecue, or the "Gnomish" X-ray Scope. Obviously they could just be names, but you can never be too sure.
The reason I had wondered is that I plan to roll a new goblin alt soon. I didn't know whether to make him a miner/goblin eng (obvious!) or to take advantage of his racial ability and be herbal/alchemy. I already have a gnome eng on another server, and saw no strong reason to make another eng, if there were no specialized recipes. The pet is at least something to consider.
Long term, you're probably right Cody, but I've made some decent money making entry-level 85 guns/bows for people. The pets are selling for about 800g apiece on my server, also. It's not totally unable to make money.
Also note that Goblin Eng. got a new bomb. But we were not going there with the mat cost. Eng. on my server for a money maker is very poor. Crafted items very rarely go above mat cost. But I will enjoy the world of warcraft gold that will be big when I craft it. Gnome can have there X-Ray device. I want a upgraded beam weilder (sp) for my Goblin Eng.
These tips will work for all players, but
remember the point of the game is to enjoy it. Find a way to make gold that
suits you so that raking in millions is fun! Use these tips as a means to the
end, not the end itself. Of course, if you are a budding entrepreneur profits
might be the only fun you need. So log in and have a great game. Just enjoy the
fun of the game.
