I played wow for three years. I enjoy the fun the game bringing to me. The higher level I hit, the more fun I got. I never meet the problem of lacking wow gold. Of course, to level fast, wow items are necessary. But you can do lots of things to get them, such as killing mobs, doing quests, fighting with bosses, etc. I never have problems about my WOW Power Leveling.
Currently I have 2 x 85 hunter in the game...one is my main Hunter, 2nd is my toon. On main I have Engineering and a single Professions slot. On toon I have 2 x profession slots, on total I have 3 x slots to level and use. Now what is the best setup of professions is the best money making?
On your main, if you have Engineering on your main, mining would be advisable, but if you have enough money or going to use a toon for mining i would suggest having either blacksmithing or jewelcrafting as a second profession as they seem to have the largest benefits for almost every class atm.
Jewelcrafting will give a bonus of 81 agility via gems. Blacksmithing can provide to extra sockets giving an 80 agility bonus if gemmed properly. On my toon I would suggest maybe Herbalism and alchemy as it is good for making money (on my realm) but along with most professions it differs due to realm, for you toon I would recommend one of the following set-ups:
Alchemy + Herbalism
Blacksmithing + Mining
Herbalism + Mining
But of course all setups will change due to what you have more of an interest in and your realm prices.
Right now on 2 servers I play on, the best 2-crafting combo (for cash) is Alchemy + Jewelcrafting. You should check your AH though. Do small checks like: Is 3 carnelian + 3 heart blossom selling cheap wow gold and wow items? (You make 1.15 of them if you have transmute specialization, on average). Then figure out how much cutting that gem adds to the value.
Now this depends on how good you're at making g from the AH, but I'd skip mining and pick whatever crafting profession you think yields the best results. That is, if you know you're going to make it just by buying and selling stuff. I never used my mining. It's just so boring to mine stuff. (And you will be competing with the farm-bots, who are bet. ter at it than you)
Inscription goes well with alchemy since both use herbs so you only need to set up one character with herb-bags (no need for mailing), besides it's dirt cheap to level if you have some patience and do not buy it all at once from the AH. And there are some patterns that that sell for a nice profit if you do not want to get into the glyph business.
There my opinion of my professions. Hope it would be help to you. Just enjoy the fun of the game.
